Finally, my main website is alive!  After torturing myself for long hours and many weekends, I have finally refreshed my HTML, CSS, and Javascript skills enough to get a website running.  Everything was hand-coded, because, you know how we software engineers roll.  I tried to use Muse, but it was too drag ‘n drop.  I even tried Dreamweaver, but it was so slow on my Mac.  The preview wasn’t much of a preview of the website either.  So what did I end up using?  Kubuntu 12.04, 13.10, and 14.04 with kate (K Advanced Text Editor) and the usual browser tests through Internet Explorer (version 9+), Firefox, and Chrome.  Some things still don’t render completely accurate, but it’s good enough.  Someone once told me, “don’t let good be the enemy of good enough.”  Maybe these are wise words indeed…
